I can see her being upset hearing about their relationship since it sounds like there almost still is a relationship going on, but people in happy, healthy relationships have to be able to talk about their pasts.

I'm just started dating a girl. But she still talks to her ex. She told me that she and him were friends, and they dated briefly but it didn't work out. She still talks to him, and says there is nothing to worry about. And I know for a fact that he wants to get back together with her. I don't understand why they still talk. I'm worried that she still wants him, even though she says she doesn't. I can understand why your worried, but it is actually comon for girls to still talk to there ex's as they don't just see them as someone they went out with and it is quite possible for them to become friends.. Think about it she has an ex, everyone does so no matter what girl you are in a relationship with, they will have an ex and may talk to them. The girl I'm talking with still goes out to drink with her ex, even though she doesn't ever plan on being with him. But all you can do is trust her. If she does get back with him then it will just end like it did before, only this time she'll be shit outta luck cause you'll be gone too. Just do what MaxPrime said. I still talk to my most recent ex sometimes and she knows I didn't want her to leave me and that I want to get back together, but I also know that she chose this other guy over me and that as long as this other guy keeps her happy she will be with him and not me. So in saying that, just keep her happy and don't worry about the other guy, she will feel secure that you will continue to make her happy and won't have any reason to go back to her ex. Although if you do think that her ex is going to be a problem then just stop dating her, easy as that, then you don't even have to worry about it anymore.

Trombetti says that a guy who constantly talks about his ex is probably still hung up on her. They are Facebook friends and that is the only reason she knows of our relationship as he never brings us up in conversation.
